Praised as “robust,” “finely-tuned,” and “compelling” by The New York Times, “4 Intimate Nights With Beyoncé” at Roseland Ballroom, was a tour de force for the entertainer. It was the only time she would perform her new album, 4, almost completely and to a very limited audience. Backed by her all-female band, with an additional string section, the performances were punctuated with spirited stories detailing her journey before the album, 4, including her years before and with Destiny’s Child.

Yesterday evening Beyonce and Jay-Z both had the pleasure of joining the legendary Lauren Hills on stage during her “Ooh La La La” performance at Governor’s Island [Rock The Bells Concert.] The show was filled with All Star MC’s such as: KRS-1, Snoop Dogg, Dougie Fresh & more. Jayonce attended the show to watch history.

In celebration of the 4th of July weekend, Billboard.com released a list of it’s ‘Top 5 Best National Anthem Performances Ever.” Beyonce’s 2006 National Anthem Performance in her hometown of Houston, Texas was included on the list at #5. Today, this performance still brings me to tears. Check it out if you never watched it.
