I don’t usually do festivals in front of 75,000 people and I was very nervous. I will never ever forget this night

Speaking to Jo Whiley and Lauren Laverne on BBC Two after coming off stage, the 29-year-old singer said the whole night had been a dream.
“I felt like a rock star,” she said. “I am just so honoured. This is a highlight of my career.”
The star opened her set on the Pyramid Stage with Crazy In Love and played hits like Single Ladies, Independent Women, Halo and If I Was A Boy.
She also covered Sex On Fire by Kings of Leon and Alanis Morissette’s You Oughta Know.
‘Very nervous’
Beyoncé revealed that she’d been working on her set list for months and was even given a little advice by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
“I sent Chris my set list and made sure he approved it,” she revealed. “He’s the master of this and of course, Jay. They all just told me to relax and be myself.”
Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z and Gwyneth Paltrow watched her perform
Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z, headlined the main stage at Glastonbury in 2009.
The performance caused controversy with Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher saying a rap artist was “wrong” topping the bill at the festival.
The singer says watching that night made her want to appear there.
“I was able to see my husband perform here a couple of years ago and it was one of the most exciting nights for me,” she said.
“I don’t know if I would have been asked to come if he didn’t do the performance.
“I don’t usually do festivals in front of 175,000 people and I was very nervous.
“I will never ever forget this night.”
