If you’re like Beyoncé and enjoy being transformed into a beauty vixen, then listen up because we have a few tips from Beyoncé’s fabulous makeup artist Francesca Tolot, who gives ESSENCE.com the scoop on channeling your inner diva.

THE FACE

Try L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup, $10.95, lorealparisusa.com, which gives you a radiant and flawless complexion. Dot the foundation on your cheeks, nose, chin, forehead and blend out towards your hairline. Next use a bronzing stick like Nars Bronzing Stick in Rapi Nui, $37. sephora.com, to contour and sculpt your face, placing along hairline, jaw line, and under cheekbones.

THE EYES

Use eye shadows in black and white. Tolot likes Dior 5 Couleurs Iridescent Eye Shadow in Earth Reflection, $56, beauty.dior.com, and recommends using the lightest color in the palette. Use an eye shadow with glitter as your highlighter for a monochromatic look. On the lashes try L’Oreal Hip High Intensity Mascara, $10.00, lorealparisusa.com, which gives 10 times the volume with special formulated pigments that darken the lashes.

THE EYELIDS

Gel liners are long wearing and they are rich in pigment, but the best part they go on smoothly and easily. Use a liquid eyeliner like Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink, $21, bobbibrowncosmetics.com, and apply brush as close to your lash line as possible. “Draw eyeliner with a pencil liner first to get the desired thickness, powder the line, then apply the ink liner over the powdered line. This creates a more intense and graphic effect,” says Tolot.

THE LIPS

The look we are creating focuses on the eyes so make sure you tone down your lips with a neutral color. For 16-hour staying power that won’t flake and protects and conditions the lips, try L’Oreal Infalliable Never Fail Lip Color Compact, $11.99, lorealparisusa.com. “If you want a more matte lip just blot with tissue,” suggests Tolot.
